TAith Therapy Training

TAith is a new training pathway for mid Wales which can take you wherever you want to go in your career as a counsellor or psychotherapist.

TAith training pathway is a four year programme which equips you to work with clients in placement after your first 12 months and could potentially lead to full registration as a UKCP psychotherapist (Diploma level would be possible after three years).

The Foundation for Practice group will start from the beginning with skills and Transactional Analysis (TA) theory, building on the TAith Therapy Training TA101 and TA202.

The Pathway to Accreditation group be available to students who are already part qualified. It will lead to Diploma or CTA and Registration with BACP or UKCP.

The course will run over ten ‘weekends’ (Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon) over a year. The first half day will be all about skills so it will be possible to APL if you already have a Counselling qualification to practice.

If there is enough interest by October we could start then, or in January 2025.

This is a very new venture for me, but after 20 years and more than 10,000 hours clinical practice and as a qualified TA practitioner, supervisor and trainer, and 11 years as an Associate Lecturer in counselling and psychotherapy for the Open University, I am very excited indeed about the potential for a TA based learning community in mid Wales.
